This year rosé work has drawn strongly on Riesling. The frosts of the vintage hammered the Pinot Noir but Riesling came in strong. In fact, it was the best damn Riesling year I’ve ever experienced. We have employed a good amount of skin contact with it bringing a little pith into play. This wine is not only cloudly but has no additives whatsoever, just the natural ferment of organically farmed grapes. A lovely fresh acid and dry finish mark this wine as does the subtle spritz to amplify the freshness. Subtle citrus fruit notes are joined by a touch of candy tempered by the savoury complexity derived from wild yeast and barrel ferment components.
